The 4 T Trail - Portland Getaway

We decided to take a walking tour around Portland called the 4T (which stands for trail, tram, trolly and train. You start off at the Portland Zoo and pick up a trail through some woods. After a good mile or so, you come up to a vantage point to look down on Portland. You can also see Mount Hood quite well from up there. You then walk another mile or so though a neighborhood of homes built to maximize the view of the city.

At the bottom of the hill sets a hospital and this is where you get on the tram that takes you across the river.

Once you get off the tram, you catch a trolly to downtown Portland.

Then you catch a train, that goes through a few stops before blasting off underground to take you back to the Portland Zoo. You have to take an elevator 500 feet up to be on the walking level of the zoo. Takes about five hours or so and quite fun!
