Ebey’s Landing Trail - Washington State

We were invited over to Aprils sister house on Whidbey Island for a family get together. The event started at 1PM, so we took the 8:AM ferry over to the island and get in a quick trail. So we decided to do the Ebey’s Landing State Park and National Historic Reserve trail.

Here are the dogs in the truck on the ferry ride over.

The trail itself was very easy to find and the dogs were more than ready to get started. The trail is a loop that goes high up over a bluff overlooking the ocean on one side and fields/woods on the other. In fact, we saw a raptor at a fixed point for about 1/2 mile of the trail. Just about when we were going to snap a picture, he dove downward, picked up a small snake and soared off.

Here you can see the trail start

Here you can see bogie profiling with the ocean in the background.

Going back down the bluff for the second leg of the loop.

A quick dip in the ocean.

Heading back to the truck.
