Davis Gulch - Whiskey Town CA - June 2, 2012

A hot one but Mike, Brenda, Beau (mike's lab), Bogie and myself headed out for an early morning hike.

The below shot has a bit of a back story. The heat really got to Beau (Mike & Ruth's large and beautiful black lab). This waterhole by the trail had little interest for him as we set out on the hike and we couldn't hardly get him out on the way back.

Brandy Falls - Whiskey Town CA - June 1st 2012

Great day for a hike in Whiskey Town, a little over 100 degrees but the creek really lowered the temperature along this trail!

A rare Brenda hiking action shot!

Dog kisses for everyone!

Lincoln City OR Beach - May 29 2012

Cape Falcon - Oregon Coast - May 29 2012

Found this hike in the "60 Hikes With 60 Miles Of Portland" book. It promised to be one of the best view specific hikes of the Oregon Coast. It delivered!

Found Photos From Last Year - Rattlesnake Ledge

I was having some issues with my phone and then noticed some stray pictures had been stored to internal memory a long time ago. I like them and wanted to bring them out (finally).

Introducing Brenda To Mount Si

I'm late in posting these, we went on this adventure a couple weeks ago.  Brenda had seen my postings about our trip to Mount Si the previous weekend and wanted to check it out for herself.

As you can see, another beautiful hike. The view was fantastic and the 8 mile round trip hike was great to get the heart pumping.

Below you can see (yet more examples) of how Bogie really likes his post hike streams.

All week I've been thinking about a Saturday hike at Mount Si. When that day rolled around, the weather was perfect! Almost too perfect, I didn't get to the trailhead until 9AM and you would have thought a rock concert was playing. Was able to sKootch into an opening on the side of the lot and we were off!

The only picture I took on the way up and this is mere feet from the trailhead.

I hadn't expected snow at the Mt Si summit this late in the season. I'm concerned my camera is not recording all the pictures I took yesterday. I had a bunch more shots of Bogie playing in the snow. However, I do like these!

Various shots at the summit, you couldn't ask for a nicer day and happy that I was able to hide how crowded it was up there.

I'm not trying to suck in my gut, seriously. I think I'm trying to see the timer on the camera. This is the only shot I tried with the gorilla pod. I do like the way it caught bogie and Rainer!

There are a half dozen or so of these runoffs about 1.5 miles from the trailhead. Bogie laid down in each one of them and we had to take a few minutes break at each. I wish I had a dollar for every person that commented about this as they passed us by!
